DJI Mini 4 Pro Firmware Update Fixes GPS Issues

Drone guidance has gotten complicated with all the outdated regulations and conflicting advice flying around. Here’s what you actually need to know.

DJI released a firmware update yesterday addressing GPS signal acquisition issues reported by Mini 4 Pro users.

Version 01.00.0700 improves satellite lock times in urban environments and fixes an intermittent compass calibration warning. The update also enhances obstacle avoidance sensitivity in low-light conditions.

Users can download the update through DJI Fly app version 1.13.0 or later. The process takes approximately 15 minutes.

Community forums reported the GPS fix resolves delays some pilots experienced when flying near tall buildings. DJI recommends updating before your next flight.

Battery firmware also receives optimization for improved cold weather performance, extending flight time by an estimated 8% in temperatures below 50°F.
